Mutate Records is a new Middlesbrough-based dance label that has a portfolio of artists and established producers from Si Begg, Cursor Miner, Unique 3 and Mark Archer (Altern8/Nexus 21) through to new producers from around the world.

Mutate offers an artist friendly alternative to recording artists and functions without the need for protracted contracts. Ultimately writers can release their music through Mutate, while retaining their copyright and ownership rights.

The label offers a full music publishing and TV/Film placement service through its publishing arm Funk Labs Music. Funk Labs has been collecting artist royalties, arranging compilation inclusions and plugging radio plays across the world for the last ten years.
