Legal Workshops for Creative Businesses

DigitalCity Innovation are running two legal workshops aimed at the region’s creative industries. The ERDF funded How to Make a Contract and Protecting Your Creativity are being delivered by Blackett, Hart & Pratt’s intellectual property and technology law solicitor Matthew Rippon.
Taking place next Friday 12th September, How to Make a Contract has been designed to look at the many contractual challenges creative businesses face. On Friday 26th September, the second workshop will look at the methods businesses implement to protect their creativity and intellectual property. Both 45 minute to one hour sessions will be followed by free ten minute one to ones with Matthew. As usual, the workshops take place in the University of Teesside’s Phoenix Building.
DigitalCity Innovation’s Industry Engagement Co-ordinator Scott Watson said: “We’re delighted to have someone of Matthew Rippon’s expertise delivering these workshops for us. It’s essential that businesses built on creativity, talent and intellectual property are sufficiently protected. Matthew’s workshops are jargon free, practical sessions which both new and long established businesses will benefit from.”
To book your place on either or both of these workshops, please contact DigitalCity’s Judith Wilkinson on 01642 384330 or Email: jude@thedigitalcity.org
