Internationally renowned local poets Bob Beagrie and Andy Willoughby have been working with young people on a funded Barnardo’s SECOS project.

The result of this is the publication of a special issue of KENAZ Magazine which contains material written by the youngsters. The magazine is being launched at an event at mima next Thursday 11th September as part of the Discover Middlesbrough Festival.

The event - which takes place from 6pm - 8pm - will feature performances of Slam team poetry from local schools and colleges. There’ll be live music from Shoe Box and Kev Howard, while D.J. The Equalizer will be operating the decks. Entry is FREE.
